Good luck to anyone hoping to be seen as fashionable in 2025, a time when everything seems to be trending everywhere, all at once. The past 12 months in denim, for example, have seen the rise of horseshoe jeans, distressed jeans and denim pedal pushers, jorts, “snazzy” jeans, and the much-discussed return of skinnies. These days, there’s no clear bellwether–just a color wheel spinning into brown.
Which is no bad thing. Trend feels like an increasingly outdated concept in fashion, which has, in turn, transformed the process of shopping into a choose-your-own-adventure-style game of discovery. Do you feel aligned to the wide-legged Valentinos beloved by Vogue editors? Romeo Beckham’s mud-caked Acne Studios jawns? Gigi Hadid’s straight-legged evergreens? Or do you–like Amal Clooney–see yourself in a pair of rib-skimmers? There is no singular route to successful dressing.
Yesterday afternoon, the human rights lawyer was photographed with husband George while heading out for lunch at Raoul’s in Hollywood.
