There’s something oddly satisfying about a bar a fresh bar of soap. Bulbous and shiny, it sort of looks like a giant bubble. Apparently, fashion designer and beauty brand founder Victoria Beckham gets it—earlier this month she showed off one of 2025’s hottest manicure trends, the soap manicure.

Soap nails are characterized by a very clean and simple aesthetic. Cuticles are well-cared for (nail oil or hand cream is your friend!) and a neutral, glossy shade with a high-gloss finish. Victoria Beckham chose a light pink with a cool undertone, which makes the nail look particularly healthy.
How to get the “soap nails” trend
First, apply a cuticle remover to your cuticles (or soak in warm water) until they become soft. Then gently push them back with a rosewood stick and remove excess skin.
Then file your nails into the desired shape. Because the look itself is so neutral, this trend looks gorgeous with every nail shape, from the uber-short to long coffins.
Next, add a base coat. It should be something that fills nail grooves to make the surface as smooth as possible. When the base has completely hardened, apply two coats of nail polish that is slightly lighter than your natural skin tone.
An ultra-shiny top coat is the most important step in the entire routine. Make sure you take the time to let it dry completely—that’s how you get the soapy, shiny effect that everybody loves about this manicure.
