There’s nothing quite like the rush of seeing all the beautiful fashion and beauty looks on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet. This year, actor and comedian Ego Nwodim is filling the role of one of the hosts of Vogue‘s Met Gala livestream. She joins singer and actor Teyana Taylor and actor and producer La La Anthony as co-hosts.

For the occasion, the SNL cast member is taking her look seriously, all the way down to her manicure. Alongside her elaborate hair updo and extravagant dress (not to mention that glam—check out that fierce winged eyeliner), Nwodim wears nails to match—literally. If you notice her rainbow-colored buttons down the sleeve of her cropped jacket, she continues the theme all the way down to her fingertips with an all-black manicure base with button detailing on each finger.

A nod to the rest of her outfit, the buttons on her nails are various colors to match the buttons on her jacket. We’re loving this attention to detail. While we don’t have details on which nail artist is responsible for this fab look, whoever did this work absolutely killed it. This is already one of our favorite Met Gala manicures of 2025.

This year, the Met Gala 2025 Costume exhibition theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” while the dress code for the event is “Tailored for You.” So if a look is exquisitely tailored, then it’s on theme. To really get into the details of it all, the Met Costume Department’s exhibit is focusing on the “black dandy” and high-end menswear. It’s safe to say Nwodim understood the assignment, based on her button-detailing nails that are a subtle nod to suiting and tailoring.

If Ego Nwodim doesn’t prove that your outfit isn’t complete until you have a perfect manicure to match, we don’t know who will.
