By now, fashion girls are well acquainted with Tanya Taylor, but until last evening, they had yet to make the acquaintance of Delphine. Just as Beyonce has Sascha Fierce and Miley Stewart has Hannah Montanna, Delphine is Taylor’s eponymous brand’s dark glamour partywear-focused alter ego. Drawing inspiration from the late ’80s to early ’90s It Girl silhouettes, Delphine oozes elegance, insouciance, and killer looks (Think Princess Diana’s revenge dress).

“I felt there was a spirit missing in evening wear and party wear and I’ve always had an alter ego that loves being social, glamorous and expresses a playful mischievous side of myself at night,” Taylor told Vogue. “Delphine is that voice in your head that allows you to have fun and gives you permission to lean into going out, dancing with friends – and being a little bit extra.”

Inside Tigre, the Lower East Side’s latest hotspot, the walls were plastered with fly posters from the latest Delphine campaign. From disposable cameras for snapping spontaneous memories (and mirror selfies, where Delphine’s logo was scrawled in Bobbi Brown lipstick) to campaign cutout stickers, the evening was electric with the brand’s playful and flirtatious character. Between bouts of truth or dare and turns on the dance floor enjoying DJ Isabella Massenet’s set, there were many familiar faces to spot. Notable attendees included Mischa Barton, Justin Theroux, Clara McGregor, Emmy Rossum, Rebecca Dayan, Liz Gillies, Daria Strokous, Emma Grede, Erik Torstensson, Jonathan Cohen, and Batsheva Hay.
