The most anticipated hotel openings of 2025 are across (almost) every single continent. “Almost” in the technical sense—as one hotel by Silversea will open in the world’s southernmost city of Puerto Williams, Chile, which lies in the sub-Antarctic zone of Patagonia—and from there, you can take a boat to Antarctica and all its wonders.
Silversea’s new stay is just one of many exciting openings across the globe: in Amsterdam, a Rosewood will open in the UNESCO World Heritage Canal District, complete with gardens by Piet Odulf. New York will see the triumphant return of its grand dame, the Waldorf Astoria. Meanwhile, a new luxury lodge will open within Kenya’s 44,000-acre Suyian Conservancy—giving adventurers a chance to observe the endangered Grévy’s zebra.

The Twenty Two, New York (Winter 2025)

After their buzzy success in London, The Twenty Two will go transatlantic this fall with a new hotel in Union Square in a historic landmark building. The interiors by Child Studio are a contemporary interpretation of quintessential American design styles from Shaker to Mission to Craftsman. In addition to guest rooms, The Twenty Two will also boast a private club as well as a restaurant by the team behind the beloved New York City restaurant Raf’s.
