As the sun sank behind the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday evening, the penthouse suite at the Chateau Marmont buzzed with energy. Anine Bing, founder of her eponymous label, welcomed a chic crowd to toast the launch of her Summer Collection. Co-hosted by newly appointed CEO Julie Bourgeois, the evening blended old-Hollywood charm with the brand’s signature rock-and-roll spirit.

A fashionable mix of friends, celebrities, and industry insiders gathered to celebrate Bing’s vision of summer dressing—effortless, edgy, and undeniably cool. Among those in attendance: Awkwafina, Minka Kelly, Rachel Zoe, Abby Elliott, Brianne Howey, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Caylee Cowan, and Akira Akbar, as well as stylists Erica Cloud, Mimi Cuttrell, Jeanne Yang, Jessica Paster, and Joseph Cassell.

“Summer’s all about denim,” said Bing, dressed in a black lace camisole and vintage-wash jeans. “I’ve been obsessed with it since launching the brand 13 years ago.”

As guests—many clad in pieces from the new collection—mingled over martinis, French fries, and pigs in blankets, one accessory quickly emerged as the evening’s must-have: the brand’s new seagrass Lou Bag, spotted on the arms of Yvonne Strahovski, Alison Brie, and Ashley Madekwe.

Now based in Paris, Bing finds herself creatively recharged by her transatlantic move. “We’ve gone all in on stripes lately,” she laughed. “The Paris office—and our French CEO—definitely influenced that.”

Summer plans include family time in Denmark at her coastal retreat and expanding her product design team in Paris. “It’s a really exciting chapter,” she said.

Looking around the candlelit suite, Bing grew reflective. “There are so many incredible women here who’ve supported me since the beginning,” she said. “From stylists and celebrities to moms I met at preschool drop-off when I was just starting out in my garage.”

Of course, no Anine Bing soirée would be complete without a nod to her musical roots. Last summer, she launched her debut album Therapy poolside at the Chateau. This year, whispers of a follow-up were already in the air. “Music is a huge part of my creative process,” she said. “It’s just fun to have different outlets.”

“I love the Chateau so much,” Bing added. “I’ve lived here for 20 years—it’s part of my story. There’s so much history here, especially with music. The label may have grown up, but that original spirit is still very much alive.”

As the evening wound down, guests departed with gift bags filled with Bing-approved summer essentials—a striped bikini, paparazzi-ready sunglasses, and the promise of a stylish season ahead.
