Kristen Stewart is no stranger to a hair transformation. The actor has been an on again, off again blonde for the last few years, but recent acting roles have kept her hair a dark brunette. We even saw her last year keeping up her choppy, raven-toned wolf cut, with a hint of trending red, following her role in Rose Glass’s romantic thriller wrestling movie Love Lies Bleeding.
Now, Stewart is back on the bleach. This time though, with some tonal twists.

The actor walked the photocall carpet for a screening of her new movie, Love Me, in Los Angeles. She wore a full Chanel runway look, as expected of her ambassadorship—and styled as usual by Tara Swennen—with a sheer, pink and silver sparkle-lined black cardigan with its buttons left open bar the collar, and matching sheer trousers. Stewart has grown out her hair to just below her shoulders, with razored, face-framing pieces. She wore it tousled and loose, which let her darker roots show and brassier, orange temples and ends. The citrus-y tones added some effortless dimension and movement, and overall, a lot of cool. She kept her makeup to her signature, smoked out grey eyeshadow and a soft neutral lip.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Stewart reach for the bleach—the last time she was seriously blonde was back in 2022: as a soft, wispy and ombré blonde with caramel highlights, and more strawberry blonde. Before that, in 2020, she had a full pixie cut and sported a bold satsuma orange color.
This latest look is also the longest Stewart has had her hair, having been committed to the wolf cut and more chocolate shades of brunette. She does the grungy look, so, so well of course, and suits her experiments with mullets and more lived-in layers and bangs.

Her longtime hairstylist Adir Abergel has been working with Stewart since her Twilight days, referring to her as one of his “greatest muses” in a conversation with British Vogue. His own personal favorite Stewart hair eras include her coppery butterscotch, pin-up girl-esque hair, and when he dyed the ends of her hair red to match her Chanel red nails at the Met Gala. For Chanel’s Manchester, England show in 2023, Abergel took inspiration from the British city itself, going rust orange with “ribbons of darkness” to reflect its grit and industrial aesthetic.
