Contact the passport office, Millie Bobby Brown (Bon Jovi) has a new name. “MILLIE BOBBY BLONDE WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVUORITE,” one of her Instagram followers wrote beneath a photo carousel revealing her newly bleach-blonde hair. It seems the Stranger Things actor has swapped her signature mid-brown for a Pamela/Britney/Jessica Simpson-esque shade of blond–created (in 12 hours, no less) by Hershesons’ colorist Veronica Wysocka.

When you dig into the comments section, a fan theory that Bobby Brown is set to play Britney Spears in a future project emerges. “BRITNEY IS COMING,” insists one fan. “Is she actually playing Britney?!” says another. It might not be such an outlandish theory. In 2022, she appeared as a guest on The Drew Barrymore Show and talked about wanting to play a real person. For her, that person “would be Britney Spears.”

Brown, who this year wraps up the final season of Stranger Things (and bids goodbye to her character, Eleven), isn’t doing much to dispel the rumors. The filter she put over her post—all instant messaging, pastel butterflies, and block buffering—is heavily reminiscent of Spears’s early Noughties heyday. All that’s left is for the star to confirm.
