After the decadently tailored looks exited the Met Gala, the city’s style set made its way downtown to Casa Cipriani for one of the night’s most anticipated after-hours affairs. Hosted by Tyla, Edward Enninful, Coleman Domingo, and Doja Cat, Richie Akiva’s 11th annual Met Gala after-party delivered once again—a heady mix of glamour, music, and mystique.

Among the guests who flowed in from the steps of the museum: Madonna, Hailey Bieber, Zendaya, Jenna Ortega, Lauryn Hill, Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, and Venus and Serena Williams, all dressed in after-party interpretations of the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style theme. Inside, Stevie Wonder, Central Cee, Tom Brady, Law Roach, Lizzo, and Sam Smith mingled, danced, and occasionally took in the skyline from the club’s sweeping balcony overlooking lower Manhattan.

The mood? Sultry and cinematic. Equal parts refined elegance and club-forward cool—a reflection of the hosts’ eclectic creative pedigrees. Guests moved between dance floor and lounge, where Raising Cane’s offered an unexpected comfort-food twist. DJs Pedro and Kitty Cash kept energy high as Cardi B, Laura Harrier, Luka Sabbat, and Marcelo Hernandez took to the floor, mingling, moving, and catching up in style.

On the outdoor terrace, designer Christian Cowan summed up the energy best when he told Vogue: “I just want to twirl!”

Inside, the crowd surged as Kaytranada took the booth, closing out the evening with his signature blend of house, soul, and rhythm. By then, the room was dimly lit, closely packed, and deeply alive—with stars, models, designers, and downtown fixtures clinking glasses and whispering in corners.

As the city slept, the celebration pressed on by the water’s edge. More than just a party, Akiva’s gathering served as a glamorous reset for the fashion flock: a reminder that sometimes, the best looks—and the best stories—happen after midnight.
